Who it fits
Good fit for
This wheelchair suits travelers and seniors who need a portable solution for daily errands or medical visits. The lightweight 35.7 lb frame and quick fold mechanism make it ideal for those who frequently load their vehicle. Users with limited upper body strength will appreciate the intuitive joystick controls. The 20-mile range supports full-day outings, while the 220 lb capacity accommodates a wide range of body types. It is a practical choice for anyone seeking independence on varied surfaces like grass or gravel.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you require higher speeds or greater weight capacity. The max speed of 3.75 MPH is limited for outdoor use on public paths or roads. The 220 lb weight limit may not suit heavier users who need more robust support. Additionally, the 18.5-inch seat width might feel narrow for broader individuals. If you need a wheelchair for heavy-duty daily use or steep hills beyond 12 degrees, this model’s specs may fall short of your requirements.
Verdict: The VERPAL K04 is a practical, travel-friendly electric wheelchair with a solid 20-mile range and manageable weight. It best serves users who prioritize portability and moderate daily mobility over high speed or heavy-duty performance.
Key specs for the Verpal K04
Total Weight: 35.7lbs
This total weight makes the wheelchair easy to lift into a car trunk or carry up stairs. You can fold it in just three seconds. The light frame helps you save on checked baggage fees if you travel by air. It is significantly lighter than many standard power chairs, which often weigh over 50 lbs. This spec is ideal if you need to transport the chair frequently.
Range: 20 miles
A 20-mile range allows for extended daily outings without needing to recharge. You can run errands, visit medical appointments, or take park trips on a single charge. This distance is sufficient for most urban and suburban users. It is important to check this spec against your typical daily travel distance to ensure you will not run out of power before returning home.
Weight Capacity: 220lbs
This capacity indicates the maximum user weight the chair can safely support. It suits most average-sized adults and seniors. If you weigh more than 220 lbs, this model may not be safe or durable for your needs. Always compare this spec with your own body weight to ensure a proper fit. Exceeding this limit can damage the motor and frame.
Motor Power: 360W
A 360W motor provides enough power to handle inclines up to 12 degrees. This allows you to navigate grass, gravel, and uneven surfaces with ease. It is suitable for mild all-terrain use. Compare this with heavier-duty scooters that have 500W+ motors if you frequently drive up steep hills. For flat sidewalks and indoor use, this power level is adequate.
Max Speed: 3.75 MPH
This top speed is safe for use on sidewalks, in parks, and in shopping centers. It is not designed for road use or high-speed travel. You can adjust the speed to match your comfort level. This spec is typical for Class 2 mobility devices. It ensures you remain in control while moving through crowded areas or tight spaces.
