Who it fits
Good fit for
You should consider this wheelchair if you need a portable option for travel. The 33-pound weight makes it easy for a caregiver or family member to lift into a vehicle trunk. The folding design fits in small spaces. It suits users who take frequent trips to stores, restaurants, or family gatherings. The 15-mile range handles daily errands well. The reversible joystick helps left-handed users. If you need a lightweight chair that does not require disassembly, this model fits your needs.
Who should skip it
You should look at another option if you require long-distance travel. The 15-mile range limits extended outings. The charging time is approximately 46 hours, which is slow. If you need higher speeds, the 3.7 mph maximum may feel too slow. The weight capacity is listed as 33 lb in the key specs, which seems inconsistent with the total weight. Verify your weight limits carefully. If you need a chair for steep slopes, the 12-degree rating may be insufficient for your terrain.
Verdict: The Ulixoria LW01301A is a practical choice for users prioritizing portability and ease of transport. Its lightweight design and folding mechanism make it ideal for travel and storage.
Key specs for this wheelchair
Total Weight: 33 pounds
This listing states the entire unit, including the battery, weighs only 33 pounds. This low weight allows one person to lift the folded chair into a vehicle trunk without assistance. It suits buyers who need to transport the wheelchair frequently or have limited upper body strength. Compare this to standard power chairs that often exceed 70 pounds, which require ramps or lifts for loading.
Range: 15 miles
The battery provides up to 15 miles of travel distance on a single charge. This range covers typical daily errands, short trips to stores, or visits with family. It may not support long-distance outings without recharging. Check this figure against larger scooters that offer 20 miles or more if you plan extended daily usage outside your immediate neighborhood.
Max Speed: 3.7 mph
The dual motors allow the chair to reach speeds up to 3.7 mph. This pace is suitable for sidewalks, indoor hallways, and parking lots. It is not designed for road use or high-speed travel. Compare this to faster models that reach 5 mph or higher, which may be necessary if you need to keep up with pedestrian traffic on busy paths.
Motor Power: 2x250W
Two brushless motors provide 250 watts each for a total of 500 watts. This power level handles flat surfaces and slight inclines up to 12 degrees. It offers steady control for everyday maneuvers. Look at higher wattage options if you frequently navigate steep hills or uneven terrain, as this setup prioritizes efficiency over raw climbing power.
Design and build details
According to the listing, this wheelchair is available in a silver and black finish. The frame is constructed to fold into one compact piece. This design choice means you do not need to wrestle with bulky sections or disassemble multiple heavy parts. The total weight is just 33 pounds, including the battery. This low mass allows a caregiver or family member to lift the folded unit into a vehicle trunk easily. It suits buyers who prioritize simple transport over complex assembly.
The seat measures 18.11 inches wide by 18.11 inches deep. The overall dimensions are 24 inches wide, 35 inches long, and 36 inches high. These compact measurements help you navigate hallways, doorways, and tight spaces where larger power chairs might feel difficult to manage. The chair features flip-back armrests and flip-up legrests. These elements provide more room for transfers and allow you to pull closer to a dining table or desk. Padded cushions offer everyday comfort, and removable covers simplify cleaning.
Control placement is flexible. The joystick can be mounted on either the right or left armrest to fit your preference. Dual 250W brushless motors deliver steady power with adjustable speeds up to 3.7 mph. Flat-free tires ensure no punctures or inflation is needed. A compact turning radius makes maneuvering through stores and restaurants more confident. The layout is designed for smooth, controlled movement in everyday environments.
Setup and Daily Operation Guide
Setting up the Ulixoria LW01301A involves minimal assembly. The chair folds into a single compact piece, which simplifies storage and transport. You do not need to disassemble multiple heavy sections or wrestle with bulky components. This design allows you to lift the unit easily into vehicle trunks with help from a spouse or caregiver. The foldable mechanism is intended to make loading and unloading straightforward for everyday travel needs.
Daily operation relies on a responsive joystick controller. You can mount the joystick on either the right or left armrest, allowing the controls to adapt to your preference. The dual 250W brushless motors provide steady power with speeds adjustable up to 3.7 mph. You can navigate sidewalks, driveways, and store aisles with a compact turning radius that fits through standard doorways. The flat-free tires require no inflation or maintenance for punctures.
For daily comfort, the chair features flip-back armrests and flip-up legrests. These elements create more space for transfers and allow you to pull close to desks or tables. Padded cushions with removable covers support seating and simplify cleaning. Safety features include electromagnetic braking, hand brakes, a safety belt, and rear anti-tip wheels. The control panel includes a mute button for quiet environments and an SOS button that plays an audible "Help, Please" message when assistance is needed. You can remove the 3.85 lb battery to charge it separately, avoiding the need to bring the entire chair indoors for recharging.
Before You Buy This Wheelchair
Before you buy, verify your vehicle trunk dimensions. The folded unit measures 35 by 24 by 36 inches. Ensure your car can accommodate this compact size. Check the seat width against your body. The 18.11-inch seat may feel tight for wider users. Review your typical daily distance. The 15-mile range suits short errands but may limit longer outings. Consider the 46-hour recharge time. This is slower than many competitors, so plan charging stops carefully. The removable 3.85-pound battery simplifies indoor charging. You might need a dedicated outlet near your home. Confirm the joystick side preference. The controller mounts to either armrest, but installation requires adjustment. This model fits buyers prioritizing portability over speed. It lacks the power for steep hills beyond 12 percent. Compare it against heavier, faster scooters if you need more range or higher speeds. This wheelchair is best for light travel and urban use.
