Who it fits
Good fit for
This chair suits users who need to transport their mobility device frequently. The foldable frame and 61.7-pound total weight make it easy to lift into a car trunk or closet. You will appreciate the 15-mile range if your daily errands cover moderate distances. The 300-pound capacity accommodates most adult users comfortably. The 18-inch seat width provides ample space for extended sitting. If you need a reliable, portable solution for community outings, this model fits well.
Who should skip it
You should look at another option if you require a high-speed vehicle or extended off-road capability. This model climbs at a maximum of 12 degrees, which limits steep incline navigation. The 15-mile range may be insufficient for all-day users who travel long distances without charging access. The lead-acid battery requires 6 to 8 hours to charge, which reduces quick turnaround times. If you need a lighter battery or faster charging, consider alternatives with lithium options.
Verdict: The RollNova 8039-ZH is a practical, portable power chair with a solid 300-pound capacity and convenient folding design. It is best for users who prioritize easy transport and moderate daily range.
RollNova 18 Key Specs Explained
Range: 15 miles
This range indicates how far you can travel on a single charge. A 15-mile limit suits daily errands, local visits, and indoor use. It may not support all-day outdoor touring without recharging. Compare this against longer-range scooters if you need extended travel distances without stopping.
Seat Width: 18"
An 18-inch seat provides a standard width for most adult users. It offers adequate space for comfort without being overly bulky. If you have a wider frame, you might need a 20-inch or wider option. This width helps ensure you fit comfortably while maintaining a compact footprint.
Motor Power: 250W*2
Dual 250-watt motors provide balanced power for smooth acceleration and steady cruising. This setup helps maintain speed on slight inclines and uneven surfaces. It is typical for standard mobility scooters. Higher wattage might be needed for steep hills, but this is sufficient for general daily use.
Battery Type: 12AH 24V lead acid
This battery type offers reliable power but is heavier than lithium options. It requires 6-8 hours to fully charge. Lead acid batteries are generally less expensive but may need replacement sooner than lithium. Consider this if you prioritize cost over weight savings and charging speed.
Total Weight: 61.7 lbs
At 61.7 pounds, this unit is lightweight for an electric wheelchair. This weight makes it easier to lift into a car trunk or move indoors. It aids portability for travel or storage in small spaces. Compare this to heavier models if you prioritize durability over ease of transport.
