It is ideal for frequent lifting and reliable slope handling.
Who JUSTHERO suits best
JUSTHERO targets users needing portable mobility with high weight capacity. The range spans from a 28 lb carbon fiber model to a 36 lb folding unit. All listed options feature 500W motors. The top pick supports 350 lb. You have choices between folding mechanisms and fixed carbon fiber frames. Colors are limited to red or black. None of these models offer self-propelled remote control or advanced app connectivity. The lineup lacks ultra-lightweight options under 25 lb. It also does not include mid-wheel drive configurations. This brand suits seniors and travelers who prioritize liftability and load bearing over compact turning radius or smart features.
How to Choose the Right Power Wheelchair
-
Check Weight Capacity
You must ensure the chair supports your body weight safely. Look for the maximum load rating in the specifications. Higher capacity models often include stronger motors and reinforced frames. For example, the JUSTHERO 20.3" Foldable Power Wheelchair supports up to 350 lb. This makes it suitable for users who need extra stability. Always verify this number before purchasing. Exceeding the limit can damage the motor or battery. It also voids safety warranties. Choose a model that exceeds your weight by a small margin for comfort and longevity.
-
Compare Motor Power
Motor power determines how well the wheelchair climbs slopes. All listed JUSTHERO models feature a 500W motor. This power level is sufficient for most indoor and mild outdoor terrain. A 500W motor provides steady acceleration and consistent speed. It handles inclines better than lower wattage units. If you live in an area with steep driveways or hills, this specification is critical. It ensures you can maintain momentum without stalling. Check the wattage to guarantee the chair meets your terrain requirements. Higher watts mean more torque for difficult surfaces.
-
Evaluate Portability Needs
Consider how often you will transport the wheelchair. Weight is a key factor for car trunks and stairs. The JUSTHERO 28 lbs Carbon Fiber Electric Wheelchair weighs only 28 lb. This lightweight design is ideal for frequent travel. You can lift it easily into a vehicle. In contrast, the 36 lb Foldable Power Wheelchair is slightly heavier but offers folding convenience. Decide if you prioritize minimal mass or compact storage. Your decision should depend on who assists you and how far you travel.
-
Assess Battery Range
Range indicates how far you can travel on a single charge. The JUSTHERO 28 lbs model offers a 30-mile range. This is suitable for users who need long-distance mobility without frequent recharging. Other models may have different ranges based on battery configuration. Check the mileage specification to match your daily routine. If you drive short distances, a lower range is acceptable. For all-day outings, prioritize higher mileage. Ensure the battery type matches your charging infrastructure. This spec prevents unexpected stops during travel.
-
Verify Folding Mechanism
Folding designs simplify storage in small spaces or vehicles. The JUSTHERO 20.3" and 36 lb models include folding features. This allows you to collapse the frame for transport. Check if the mechanism is manual or requires tools. Folding adds convenience for caregivers who load the chair frequently. Ensure the folded dimensions fit your trunk or elevator. This feature is essential for users who travel often. Non-folding models may be more robust but harder to store. Select based on your storage constraints and transport frequency.
